An Unlikely Start

If you’re invited to this event, you probably already know our story. We’d just like to show you one thing.

On the left is Sofiya in Tambov (Russia), smiling because she probably just ate her favorite caviar toast — the kind of breakfast that makes minus 30 feel like a breeze. On the right, Ben is at a Volksfest in traditional German costume, holding the pretzel with the confidence of someone who will never have to apply for a visa or deal with the Ausländerbehörde (the evil foreigners’ office).

There are about 2,490 kilometers between Wetzlar, Ben´s town and Tambov — and somehow, we still ended up in the same story. Different countries, different childhoods, different tolerance levels for weather and chaos — but apparently the same future.

We would be incredibly happy if you decide to join us for the celebration.
